These are no small feats- it's a BIG vision- that of being fully funded. It takes A LOT of work and EVEN MORE trust in God to make it happen! Having faith is hard, especially when you're used to living in lack. But it's worth it.
In the next week- start small. Ask the Lord for someone to give to. Maybe it will be recurring monthly support. Maybe it will be a one-time gift. Maybe it's to a missionary or to a friend or an organization. We want to be GREAT givers.
And, we also want to be GREAT stewards with the current partners we have. Maybe you've been doing a great job caring for your team- praying for them, connecting with them on a regular basis, thanking them, etc. If you're like me, then it's been a little more sporadic and less of what God asks of us in the 2nd commandment of loving people well. If we are not caring for our team, we might as well call them donors instead of partners. Partners and supporters we have a relationship with. Donors we don't.
So take ONE partner in the next week and care for them. Pray for them, connect with them. Maybe someone has a birthday coming up. Send them a card, call them the night before their birthday and tell them you are thinking of them. That you remembered them.
Partnership doesn't have to be so terrible. And it will be a lot more fun when we experience the joy of giving and the joy of connecting with those who love us enough to partner with us.
